SAVE OUR MARQUEE!

You may know that Bristol City Council is refusing permanent planning for the marquee.

As a previous employee I can say that it reduces sound, whereas without it the area would remain as an uncovered beer garden, therefore dispensing more noise when busy. All of the 250 people that have signed the petition - some of which live within the surrounding area - all agree that it reduces sound and that it definitely is not an "eyesore".

All of the events that have been held inside the marquee were a success, including the wedding of Jasper Thompson and Tania Brown. I have work there on many events including, match days when Bristol City were playing, and not once has there been any trouble caused by the customers. The marquee provides an extension to the restaurant for people to have their meals, whilst, being able to enjoy the wide-screen television provided for a more relaxed environment.

Not only being an ex-employee but also a frequent customer, I personally enjoy the marquee and do not consider it as an eyesore. It is a valuable asset to the restaurant and it's customers and provides great accommodation.
